A word I really like hearing in connection with trans life is dignity. Fuck tolerance and even acceptance. Dignity can only be conferred by the state: it means grace, institutional existence, unremarkable worth.

I have neglected my very important duty of telling you what Sasha has been up to lately! She continues to be a very soft good girl; she seems to recharge by being petted, and now will demand petting from both of us (until April she was a bit shy with my mom).
