So here is a thought. Kick the US out of NATO (since Trump is leaving anyway) and admit Ukraine. Also put the same sanctions on the US, that the EU, etc. put on Russia. If Trump wants to act like Putin and Russia then treat him that way, with apologies to the American people who didn't ask for this?

An American colleague accused me and all Canadians of being disrespectful to the US President. Respect is earned not just given! The current occupant the US presidency, through his actions, has NOT earned my respect or the respect of the free world. Trump is a bully and only understands strength.

So just how dumb are Trump and his advisors? Transgender describes people whose gender identity differs from their sex at birth. Transgenic refers to an organism or cell used for medical research whose genome has been altered by introducing foreign DNA sequences from another species (like humans)!

I really feel for our friends, allies, and family in the US today. What are the options when you have a petulant, omnipotent child leading the country and all the adults have been sent to their rooms. I fear this will mean a very dangerous time until the midterm elections which are about 2 yrs away.

Mr. Trump complained that the US protects Canada. Rather than the U.S. simply "protecting" Canada, Canada's geography and NORAD protects the U.S. If an attack did come, the first line of defense is Canadian airspace, meaning Canada plays a critical role in shielding the U.S. from direct attack.

As a physician I am particularly concerned about Mr Trumps recent executive orders like “pausing” important health information from NIH, FDA etc., withdrawing from the WHO and halting medical research funding. Countries like Canada and the EU are well placed to minimize the potential damage?
