Book 6 done, this time one for a work book club. Lead It Like Lasso was okay. It was your generic leadership style book with some pop culture tied in making it tolerable. I'd give it a 2.5/5. Book 6 of 30 #BookSky

And I am an ally. If you are too, let the world know.

Book 5 is complete. I've struggled to get as much reading time in this month a I'd like so Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson took me longer to complete than usual, but fully enjoyed it. Only thing I have left to read from him is the Alcatraz series, but need to find them first! Book 5 of 30 #BookSky

So last night to de-stress from coup happening in the US right now, I took a nice relaxing bubble bath. Most folks say they unwind with a hot bath and a glass of wine, but have you tried a hot bath with a mug of one of your favorite childhood cereals? It was lovely.

Book 4 done! Jumped back to fantasy with a new author. I'm a sucker for hard magic systems and this book even came with a recommendation from my favorite author. Promise of Blood by Brian McClellan was a 5/5 for me especially for the first book of a series. Book 4 of 30 for the year #BookSky

Book Three...is in the books? Hadn't planned on going through another Jack Reacher novel so soon. However, I found out the next season of the show was based around the next novel in the order, Persuader, I jumped into it. Overall, a solid 4.5/5 for me. Book 3 of 30 #BookSky

Second book of the year down. This one was The Drawing of the Three by the great @stephenking.bsky.social. Gave it a 4.75/5 (would have put 4.9 if had let me) on #Storygraph, it was a great read and, to me, the pacing was much better than The Gunslinger. Book 2 of 30 #BookSky

Freckles tried to be sneaky and inch towards the plate to lick it, but now she's getting sleepy and falling asleep sniffing it #CatSky #Cats

Started the year off with one of my used book grabs, Without Fail by Lee Child from the Jack Reacher series. I'd put it at about a 4.5/5. Mainly because this one was a return to more of a mystery than the past two in the series were for me. Book 1 of 30 for the year #BookSky #Storygraph

PSA.. this new years eve Because you are loved You are not alone... I am an Ally And You are beautiful

Met my goal of 30 books read for the year and that felt like a good target. I'm not sure I could dedicate the time for more, so I'll probably set the same goal for next year. Definitely going to have to find some more authors to get into or just do some re-reads! #BookSky #Storygraph

Halfway through our long 10 hour drive home, and Rocket is still being a champ! Although he could use a dental treat. #StinkyDogBreath #dogs

Rocket is enjoying our annual #roadtrip back to the #Midwest for the holidays, wish his human could say the same, but we only do it once per year. #DogSky #Puppers

I'm trying to read, but Buttons has decided to cook and make some biscuits #Cats #BiscuitTime

I don't think Rocket wants me working and would rather I take him on a walkie #DogSky #GrumpyOldMan

Best way to spend some time when home alone. Hot tea on a cold day with your favorite series in your little home library #BookSky #LazySaturday

Time to go back to Roshar for the end of the first arc of one of my favorite series. I decided to go with my Yumi and the Nightmare Painter bookmark. Although The Sunlit Man would have been more appropriate, it's currently in use. #JourneyBeforeDestination #fantasy #BookSky
