I feel this in my bones. I ended up scrapping any professional ambitions altogether and decided to dedicate some time to a hobby instead.
Even then, daily practice quickly dwindled from one hour to around 15mins per session. There's never a dull moment with a newborn around 😅

Completely agree. I tried to filter my feed with an extensive list of mute words, but most of the accounts you mentioned only post images and bypass it easily.
I doubt alt text is considered for muted words (I also doubt those images have alt text to begin with)

It baffles me that folks would continue to use X, but then again I didn’t command a monetised account with thousands of folllowers.
Bluesky is ‘fine’. It resembles Twitter enough to feel familiar, but like you say the critical mass for tech twitter just isn’t there
