Thank you! I spent the whole morning laughing at how worried I'd been that I might not recognize one if I saw it. ๐ NOT a subtle bird!

They're a lifer for me! Apparently, though, you just need to go to where they are. Because they are NOT hard to spot when they're around. ๐

I've taken thousands of photos of the Piping Plovers this spring, but this is the first time I've noticed the orange eye ring! So cool. ๐ #birds

I had this exact same question last summer, and learned that it's an immature European Starling. Turns out, even knowing that, I had to go through the same confusion *this* month when I started seeing them again. ๐๐

ICE regularly transfers people away from the location of their arrest (makes it hard for family to find you, removes you from the reach of existing legal rep, harder for you to find new legal rep in an unfamiliar area) but your family *could* drive to where you're detained. Not for P.R. folks.

Truly. And they know perfectly well that they'll terrorize everyone on the island, just by being there and being lawless.

I'm dying to go. Fernando and Anne, who lead the tour, are just super kind and funny and so, so knowledgeable! I saw *amazing* birds with them in Illinois. I can't even imagine what we'd see in Fernando's hometown! ๐๐ญ But my savings goals don't include expensive birding trips, FOR NOW...

I mean, I *could* write a book about someone who goes on a bird photography trip to Puerto Vallarta... ๐ค๐
