This is probably how Sharknado came to be. Although come to think of it, that wouldn't work...

I say hopefully because it's not like the HVAC is silent now, just quieter than it was. I had planned to have some insulation put up in the rafters of the HVAC room, which is directly below kid's room, by way of sound treatment, but haven't got around to it yet.

I'm chalking it up to a small price to pay for peace of mind. This was really bothering my kid, like multiple times a day, and hopefully this will resolve the issue.

My handyman used something he called contractor's glue the other day for wood on wood and it worked great. There's probably something that works well for plastic on plastic, which is what you'll probably need.

Problem is now I'm looking for a new game to occupy me. I can be very picky, but also indecisive. Not sure what I want. Until I figure it out (or Indiana Jones game releases for Sony platform in 3 days), I'm trying out Call of the Sea, also published by Raw Fury.

I wish more people liked Resurrection.

And I really enjoyed that preliminary "draw rooms one by one to beat a path to the exit" mechanic. I could enjoy a game that's built around that gameplay loop.

But don't let me yuck your yum. It's well made and intriguing. Just way too complex and involved for me. If you like games like Myst but think they're way too easy, definitely get this game. And a notebook. You'll need it.

I enjoyed the gameplay loop but I knew from a review I read that the game would get far more complex than that eventually. There's just no way. I play games to unwind from a complex stressful job and an energetic kid, I'm not doing advanced 5D calculus in my off time.

So yeah, basically this. No way I would have figured that out on my own, and no way I'd even remember these steps having read them. If I'm going to rage quit eventually, might as well walk away now.

Even reading your posts I was inclined to give the game an honest chance. How frustrating could it be?
Well, I went online to look up an item today and found a walkthrough and... no, I don't think I WILL keep playing this thing.

I was just thinking about how "π" kind of comes off the same way? Maybe?
I'm young enough to use emojis and gifs but too old to use them right or really understand the nuance. π€£

No, they read it as passive aggressive, moreso than younger generations. Sort of the older the generation the more negativity they read into "k".

Remember a few years ago there was something going around about how boomers interpret "k" as rude?
I didn't get it then but now I'm over 40 and suddenly I understand. π€£
