I'm still in a gaming slump this year. Too many games, not enough time so I've just been playing pickup and play games that don't require too much commitment like Balatro and most recently Poinpy! A really fun platform game from the same dev as Downwell. This time, we go up instead of down! (°ロ°) !

I think even Zelda's most powerful incarnation can't beat Mythra because Zelda focuses more on protection. The times she does fight offensively, it's usually to support Link. Plus, her power works best against evil. If she has the complete Triforce, maybe then she can just wish for victory.

I've been watching this Japanese horror mockumentary film series and didn't catch on until the seventh film that the actual director of the series is the character holding the camera - Koji Shiraishi. Senritsu Kaiki File series is wild as heck and every found-footage horror fan should give it a try.

Started The Office early last month, I'm now at season 7 specifically the episode where Michael exits the series. I think it was well done. No fanfare or grand exit. Just a quiet goodbye that happens a lot irl. But the finality of it gets me so bad.

Finished #Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 Some plot threads felt slower than the others, and the characters move around a lot without urgency, but it all came together in an exciting climax and satisfying conclusion while still leaving some threads ambiguous for, hopefully, future installments.

Halfway through Castlevania: Nocturne Maria and Drolta are carrying this season so far. Really happy they're fleshing out Drolta's past. And Maria's going through a lot of anguish. Didn't think she'd actually cross certain lines this season, but ooooh god she did.

Juste!!!!!! 🥲 Harmony of Dissonance and Juste Belmont were my introduction to the Castlevania games, so I'm so glad to see old man Juste in Nocturne (as tragic as his backstory became). Kinda surreal seeing him all buddy buddy with Alucard, too.

I like how they're handling Maria and Alucard's relationship. They share a common pain, and Alucard acts more like a brother helping Maria process her grief. He also acts less aloof, too. It's just a short scene, and the group is split for now, but I hope they share more scenes later. #Castlevania
