Le 14 Mars prochain aura lieu une éclipse de Lune (lorsque la Terre projette son ombre sur la face éclairée de notre satellite pendant quelques heures). Malheureusement, elle ne sera visible que du continent américain. En Europe, elle se couche au petit matin quand ça commence. 😭

A short time lapse of the STARLINK G11-4 low elevation pass (5.2 deg) over South America on 2025-02-02 from 00:59:21 to 01:02:25 UTC. The recording was taken about 2 hours after launch and also shows the Falcon upper stage during the fuel dump procedure before deorbiting.

Starlink 5693 appears to have reentered over the southern Wisconsin/Michigan area at about 0303 to 0305 UTC Jan 29 (9.03 to 9.05pm CST) and was widely observed from neighbouring regions including Chicago

Cette nuit, le satellite Starlink 5693 a pénétré dans l'atmosphère au-dessus des Etats-Unis et a été aperçu depuis les états du Wisconsin et du Michigan. Peu à peu, le frottement de l'atmosphère résiduelle les freine, jusqu'à cette fin. Leur durée de vie est de ~5 ans. Celui-ci a été lancé en 2023.

A nice animation of BLUE GHOST at about 17th magnitude. Starts of will the maximum values showing the arc of the sky track and then an animation of the object moving. The tone in the audio is the S-band carrier.

I found the Falcon 9 R/B from the BLUE GHOST/HAKUTO-R M2 launch. It's around 362000km out and washed out in the glare of the Moon. Not much hope of finding the landers as I have looked for a couple of hours now. Perhaps as the Moon gets further away and they descend in coming days.

LAUNCH at 0703 UTC Jan 16 of New Glenn from Canaveral, with successful parking orbit insertion of stage 2. Stage 1 made its reentry burn but did not successfully complete landing on the barge. Stage 2 is due to restart to go to higher orbit. Congrats Blue Origin!

First, the good news: Comet C/2024 G3 ATLAS survived its perihelion pass near the Sun Monday, as seen in SOHO’s LASCO C3 view. The comet topped out at around magnitude -2.5, and is now headed into the dusk sky.

Presque 1 million d'image prises pendant 4h ont été traitées pour réaliser cette animation le 14/1. En tout début de vidéo, on voit l'outbreak se coucher. Callisto est à l'avant plan, puis son obre et enfin la GTR se lève. Mewlon 300/ balcon / Paris et tout le tralala :)

Le rover lunaire chinoise Yutu 2 n’avance plus depuis mars 2024, auparavant son rythme de progression s’était déjà considérablement ralenti. En revanche il est très probable qu’il soit toujours actif, puisqu’il est équipé d’un petit RTG et au vu de l’endurance de ses prédécesseurs.
