I'm Eastern European—a couple of flakes can't hurt me! 😄 Thanks, Cory!

Do you communicate with her directly? If so, let her know that I said she's an icon and she lives in my head rent free.

Look at you thriving! Wishing you even more success in the year to come!

Wait a minute? THE Imogen Heap??? 😮

Thank you, Nelson! 😊

There’s still work to do—like making it responsive and polishing a few interactions—but I’m really happy with how it’s coming together. Check out the live version and let me know what you think. Yay or nay? 😅 alanbukovich.webflow.io/my-links

I also introduced keyboard shortcuts for easier navigation and to open external links. Pressing Q closes the menu and shows a looping video, which you can mute or adjust the volume for with the left and right arrow keys. It's not essential, but I wanted to add a bit of nostalgia to the experience.

To create a more "tactile" feel, I added a clicking sound effect that mimics a TV button. You can toggle it on or off with the Y/N keys.

I added an "INFO" button that reveals a short about section. The text is still tentative—I might tweak it to sound less pretentious, or maybe I’ll keep it as is. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, the whole verification thing is frustrating. I might go back to posting on X casually at some point, but for now, I’m happy sticking with Bluesky. I get overwhelmed easily, and the last thing I need is another platform to distract me 😅

Same here! I’m always coming up with new ideas, tweaking things, and adding more. It gets messy—but hey, that’s just part of playing in the mud!

Thanks for the recommendation, Penny! I'll make sure to check it out. I think there are a few similar Webflow solutions, but I haven't properly looked into them yet.

I guess I do! Maybe I just needed confirmation of what I already knew.

For me, X wasn’t much of a lead source either. Most of my clients come from LinkedIn or my Webflow profile. I did make a few connections there that led to opportunities, but direct client leads were rare, and those that did reach out usually ghosted me. Not a great fit for my audience either!

Most of my leads come from LinkedIn and my Webflow profile. I never really used X to find clients, though I did make some connections there that led to opportunities. The few who reached out directly on X usually ghosted me, so honestly, it wasn’t that great for me anyway, lol.

I would pay good money to see your Tana setup.

Totally agree with Paul. I get it, though—I get discouraged by my numbers too. On X, I had slightly more followers but almost no engagement (thanks to vanishing for months at a time). Now, I’m just happy my posts get any attention at all. Feels good to be seen, lol!

A couple of weeks ago, I lost what could’ve been a *very* lucrative project because the client decided to go with Shopify for their store. It stings, but honestly, I’m not sure I have it in me to dive into learning yet another platform.

Thank you, Cory! I plan to add more things to the "retro" experience. Will share soon (hopefully)!

So you like to suffer I see 😂

Haha thanks, Tony! I'm gonna be adding some fun little easter eggs (and sound effects?) I think you may like. Will share an update soon!

That's exactly the reaction I was hoping for. I think? 🤔 lol

Yup. Also check out this book by Carol Dweck on growth vs. fixed mindsets. It's a nice read and it taught me a lot. I might just have to re-read it myself. www.amazon.com/Mindset-Psyc...

Growth is a journey, and sometimes taking a moment to pause and celebrate where you are is just as valuable as pushing ahead. (I totally relate btw. Really feeling it these days. 😢)

It sure does! I don't miss having to rewind tapes though.

Webflow has been in the "enterprise" game for a while now. But yeah, analytics should be included by default in all plans.

The site is still a work in progress, but I’m excited about the direction it’s heading. Who knows what’s next? Check out the preview and let me know what you think. Would love to hear your thoughts. Happy Friday! 🎉

This love for all things retro pushed me to recreate the feel of those old TV screens. Being the perfectionist I am, I spent way too much time tweaking the details—scanlines, color aberration, flicker. Almost everything is built with HTML and CSS. (Well, except for the glitch textures.)

I’ve always had a thing for retro aesthetics—especially vintage VHS and VCR screens. Maybe it’s the nostalgia or a craving for simpler times, but I still find comfort in the sound of TV static as I fall asleep.

Not next year, but starting now, I’m choosing to trust myself. To be kinder to myself. To give myself a real chance, because I deserve it. And so do you. 2025 is going to be a good year. Let’s make it happen.

A big part of me felt like I didn’t deserve success. Sometimes, it still does. Funny how we can be our own worst critics, right? But here’s the thing—I’m done letting those doubts call the shots.

Some of their decisions lately feel very "icky". Luckily @sketch.com is a solid alternative. Hell, I'd even go back to using Adobe XD.

Mine is currently "archived" but not deleted. I just can't make myself make that final step haha. Uskoro, obecavam!

Yeah, that makes sense. At least you didn't have to wait half a year to get in like the others lol

That's a nice mix of different design styles! Seems like you had a good year. 🙌
