Just an older British bloke who is very dismayed by the series of rightward lurches the world has taken lately. I respect diverse opinions, but not flagrant refusal to see the truth. I still #FBPE. Unsolicited unwelcome DM = instant block.

It’s not quite as bad as it looks. It’s a very niche use of very small amounts of asbestos in the chemical industry, that is currently still allowed. I’m not endorsing it, but it is not the return to the bad old days apnews.com/article/epa-...

I think the error in the post I quoted is so blatant that the best approach would be to ask it to review and think again. Frankly if it is not able to do that I feel there is little hope. Perhaps you are saying that the blatant error was in a source it used, but the same applies. Clue: Who??

It's definitely him and he's come here to cause trouble - bringing followers with him no doubt. By engaging with this platform he's inadvertently signalling that it matters however

You know there was no way he’d have continued to engage after the first couple of questions however deferential she was.

They say he makes the airframes himself and is only dependent on Iran for the power units. If US strikes were exclusively destruction of nuclear facilities, that might not be an issue. A gamble mind. And/or he might have sent some power units to China to reverse engineer and copy a while back…..

If Starmer is certain the UK won't join a US strike on Iran, he should say so. We seem almost uniquely placed amongst countries in that there is an assumption by the USA that we'll drop bombs at their say-so. No other country is even in the picture for co-bombing Iran. Doesn't have to be that way.

It seems that the concept that being an ally and being an enemy are mutually exclusive is SO passé.

It’s not beyond credibility that Putin would be secretly happy for Trump to attack Iran. Sky high oil price suits Putin, and it might help re-establish Krasnov’s cover.

Don’t ignore what China is saying.

I think we’d need to ask Putin.

Yes. TBQH I cannot see any bill progressing quickly enough to matter.

Hmmm. It would surely be hard to exclude the defence of US assets in the region. And hard to instantly disprove an “emergency “ claim that Iran is imminently preparing attacks on same. Hence, sadly, hard to see how this law would stop a preemptive strike.

When? I reckon you have 48 hours before your legislation is too late. Have you got the numbers?

When are you going hold a joint press conference with Newsom and McDonnell??? The WORLD needs to understand what LAPD is doing and what’s going to change. Otherwise it looks like brave talk about defending your residents, while doing the exact opposite.
