I hope they find out.

In 2021, I helped on a suit to stop the PPB from live-streaming protesters. www.aclu-or.org/en/press-rel...

I have just submitted into E-Council a draft resolution co-sponsored with @councilormorillo.bsky.social that directs the Mayor to investigate violations of Zenith's franchise agreement, initiates council oversight of staff, and pauses open permits pending these investigations.

Warms the heart.

Big Zenith news: On January 21, City Council will hold a work session on Zenith Energy from 9:30-11:30 am followed by a community listening session from noon-2 PM. This is a direct result of Portlanders being noisy + relentless & a new council that is ready to get city operations in the daylight.

New public records obtained by Street Roots show a city attorney encouraged city staff to include their office in a meeting to hide the city's political strategy on Zenith Energy from the public.

Interesting article. notes for the @oregonian.com editor: *dividing by 0.2 is the same as multiplying by 5; *the ordinance says increment each 10 feet *numbers on a given side of the street increment by 2 (odd if N or W, even if S or E); apple.news/ARwYTndFiTrS...

Franz Kafka scholars also welcome.

So *that’s* where the planted guns come from.

Now with gaseous chlorine!

The Krasner memo was brilliant, btw. www.motherjones.com/criminal-jus...

Hey new council: When Larry Krasner took over the Philadelphia DA’s office he immediately fired the old guard. whyy.org/articles/phi... Mike Schmidt didn’t do that. Krasner was reelected in 2021 with 72% of the vote. One of the attorneys Schmidt should have fired on day 1 is our new DA.

Free advice to the incoming Portland City Councillors: Hire your own lawyers. Like the Auditor did. The City Attorney is not loyal to you — they are loyal only to “the City.” Whatever they imagine that phrase to mean.

I sent in my own records request for JVP's emails since Jan-2020. I was told that the @oregonian.bsky.social had done the same, and the MultCo Attorney shared the responsive disclosure with me. It only took poking for a few minutes to see that the disclosure is incomplete.

It me.
