It's definitely gonna be something new. Mine is starting with dark rye flour, and a small amount of "breadmachine" yeast just to give it an extra starting kick.

I didn't either until it did. I promptly dumped it into the snow and let it sit for a few minutes and then ran it under water to make sure it wouldnt combust more
