I know it's a good dating profile question because I immediately thought "Transit Museum and Museum of the Moving Image" and that really captures the type I am more than pretty much any other shit I'll say

The thing where Trump took Don Jr to get Ivana mad before sending him back because she didn't care happening back and forth repeatedly till Vance enters the rare adult onset mall goth phase

I think a lot of what gets mourned when talking about "third spaces" is venues (fair) and dive bars, which are still around, it's just that etiquette for existing in them changed over time and that change that was already happening became a lot starker because of the pandemic

Whereas, when I still lived in Miami through my twenties, I can honestly say that each year I got less and less weird looks about not owning a car every year, to the point that, by the time I left, most people gushed about how they wished they could not have to deal with paying for insurance

Fair enough. That specific complaint might be a symptom of New Yorkers acting like this place is representative of the entire country and complaining about the small subset of young people here who insist on ubering everywhere

Also, the home itself is more expensive as a proportion of income, so there's less disposable income to spend outside of it. I would say that's maybe the biggest part of it.

And that's not even the biggest one in South Florida

I do like Potbelly (I do their chicken club with the roasted garlic aioli a lot) but I never once considered getting one of the salads. That's cursed

Doubt they ever start. At this point, I'm assuming they have a couple more deals to get it built fall through while they're in Sacramento and then the league forces Fisher to sell like they're talking about doing in Tampa. The expansion group in Portland would probably be interested

"But I ate a bunch of stuff in Europe that would normally make my stomach hurt and it didn't over there" you were on vacation. You were walking a ton sightseeing. You'd also feel better if you walked more at home

I was so disappointed when I actually got to try Malort. Like, the aguardiente getting passed around family parties when I was growing up was harder

And the first two are things people did without AI. VPNs already advertise that you can find cheaper hotels. There are already hotel sites that specialize in same day booking. It really is just a "let me Google that for you" machine

I didn't even know they reunited. I was more of a Something Corporate guy, but it was Miami. You didn't get picky about shows. You got excited anyone bothered to make the 8 hour round trip past Orlando

American soccer strikes me as a good space. MLS/NWSL fan bases trend liberal, but a lot of the establishment media for it (esp. MLS) is largely controlled by the league itself. Good indie leftist soccer media could maybe get libs being more radical. As important as getting the angry young men, IMO
