One of the most boring drives in Australia. So bland & monotonous.

In middle school there’s always the “Can I please have another one because I ripped this one?” Or “I lost it” Or “Someone else ripped/wrote on it” It’s just saving time for the inevitable 😂

During planning a high school unit we were using Sharepoint so all could see/update the document in real-time (great resource normally). I was using a laptop with a trackpad instead of a mouse, accidentally clicked & selected 10 pages & backspaced w/o realising it. No Undelete! 2 days to catch up :(

Sorry, not sorry. Not a bot fan. I was tagged in a post by the mcbottface account and found it a bit rude & unflattering so I blocked it.

If/When :) I go ahead, it will have to be part time while teaching a reduced load. One thing that (out of pride?) I think it will offer my students is an example of perseverance, life-long learning, & reaching towards excellence.

High School English (Lit not language) teacher here in Australia. Currently completing a Masters in Lit. And, in my early 50s toying with a PhD. But having moments of doubt about the benefit. I can still love books, reading, writing etc without it, & it won’t change anything while I’m still teaching

In Secondary English it’s useful for quick essay or extended paragraph exemplars - that can be deconstructed to explain how/why they’re effective (or not usually). Also a time saver for comprehension/retrieval exercises, grammar identification, language features etc. Ie the mechanical aspects

(Also: while we are at it, can we eliminate the phrase “I’m leaving the classroom so I can impact more kids” from the discourse? Like, I get it, but let’s be honest: think about how that really sounds to those of us in the classroom.)
