how can fanfic be a teenage girl thing when i am currently watching an ill-fated au fix-it fanfic helmed by like 3+ dudes in their 50s-60s, for a show that aired when they were around 20 yrs old they even did the thing where you just copy/paste song lyrics into a chapter

#GQuuuuuuX #ジークアクス

i do think one thing this episode does is that it finally clears up what "the point" of gqux is: aside the social commentary, fundamentally gqux is a judgment cast on the UC and its legacy. much of the plot, characterization, and themes (in particular, the treatment of women in UC) orient

GQux is the new F91 This latest episode is thematically dense but also *really* needed...more and better buildup to this. People have been saying it should have a full 2 cour anime, but I actually think it needed like...4 more episodes to pull off what's it's trying to do with its the plot.

National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard was under oath when she told Congress in March that Iran was not building a nuclear weapon. But now that Trump claims otherwise as he pushes to join Israel's attack, she says they're "on the same page" and claims the media misconstrued her testimony.

you would not know from a vast amount of the israel-iran coverage that the country with the *actual and well-known and decades-old* secret nuclear arsenal is...israel, not iran

The idea that Democrats should concede on trans rights is the belief that truth is mutable and politicians should act as if reality is whatever is most politically expedient, which for the record is how Republicans act

Bro this shit is so cooked

I must reiterate that this strategy of publicly scolding "the activists" for staking out "unpopular" positions and (supposedly) making the party look bad is not only morally cowardly but strategically counterproductive Activists aren't your employees, they won't change just because you told them to

i fully thought i wouldn’t see gay marriage legalized before i was 70 and then it happened when i was 20, when it was STILL pretty unpopular this has happened with every single rights issue. stop telling trans people it’ll get better if they just keep accepting punches until cis people get tired

Great thread

play games outside your discipline, even if you don't like them. engage with why you do or don't like them. it's great practice! you should try to experience OSR, trad, storygame, gmless, solo, fkr, larp, etc and see how they warp your idea of what our goofy little hobby is

I somehow have not seen that idiotic take on adventures and I'm really happy.
