It's interesting that while the leader of France's far-right RN (Le Pen's party) cancelled his speech at CPAC because of the Nazi salutes happening there, Meloni did not. Shatters the narrative we've been told that, because she paid lip service to Ukraine, Meloni is a centrist.

Eéntje om mee te nemen als het over de toekomst van onze industrie gaat.

Zit in de glasbesparing ook het eventuele extra gasverbruik voor stroomopwek verrekend?

What about costs for land, civil works, cable works, transformer and both low and high voltage switch gear, installation, project development and contracts, planning and engineering,... In these kind of projects the cost of the project is usually multiple of the cost of the main components.

China is electrifying at breakneck speed. Not for reasons of climate, but for reasons of energy security. Renewable power and coal is domestic.

That's why electrification is so important. Buildings, road transport, short sea, short air haul, most of industry are relatively easy to electrify.

Use of energy vectors can go down when there is something cheaper/better. Example us coal consumption pushed down by cheap nat gas. Chinese petroleum consumption is on the verge of declining due to electrification. These trends can take place on larger scale. www.eia.gov/todayinenerg...

For drivers with high mileage, the capex of a home charging station depreciated over 5 years is peanuts. Drivers with low mileage can use the granny charger, which doesn't require capex at all in most cases.

De kost is niet het civiele. De duurste fase is de gelijkstroomapparatuur voor de aansluiting van het laatste windpark en een 2e verbinding naar Groot Brittanië.

Not just everybody has the awareness you have and then you blame them for taking a pretty good deal.

Stigmatizing people doesn't help.

His Point is that we ought to be climate neutral by 2045 and even if we have commercial fusion, its contribution will be very limited. Bringing this tech from TRL 0 to 9 and scaling up takes time.

Slechts 30% markt voor elektrisch. Hij heeft de nota gemist dat de Chinese markt voor personenwagens dit jaar over 50% elektrisch gaat.

Little extra... Hydrogen as commodity won't be cheap any time soon. www.linkedin.com/feed/update/...

And some Germans already tried and experienced that batteries are the feasible option www.hydrogeninsight.com/transport/wi... Best regards (4/4)

This was known already five years ago. www.railjournal.com/technology/v... Batteries were at about the double of the price they are right now. Confirmed more recently optifuelsystems.com/hydrogen-wil... (3/n)

Unless the alternatives are not present or even more expensive, we will use something else. The last years batteries got so cheap and performant that they will economically outperform hydrogen for virtually all ground bound transportation. (2/n)

Dear Jon, An engineer can make everything work, as long as there is time and budget. However, the physics of hydrogen make it ridiculously expensive and complicated. Expensive technology, expensive energy waste, expensive logistics, expensive safety measures... (1/n)

If I'm right, it's an older distribution truck, Scania used for demo in the Benelux. The current generation semitractors charges at around 350 kW. Once megawattcharging becomes operational, we 'll see much higher charging speeds.
