The U.S. has had probably the best university system in the world since the late 1940s; government investments (state and federal) drove that success. That may have changed overnight. 🧵🧪

New year, new version of mitoXplorer 3.0 (mitoxplorer3.ibdm.univ-amu.fr) : mine your single-cell RNA-seq data from a mitochondrial perspective by creating cell-type specific pseudo-bulks or by looking at mitochondrial variability on single-cell level. Check it out at doi: doi.org/10.1101/2024...

Very interesting opinion piece. The only thing I would disagree with is the line: "what can be done? The sad answer is not that much". People (in US and outside) need to fight this at all levels. Our world as we know it is on the line.

Time for some mito-business. Or should we say methyl-business?? Let's ask our speaker Thomas MacVicar. This thursday, usual time and place.

Delighted to share our latest review article summarizing the use of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) to model mitochondrial disorders with 2D and 3D organoid approaches. www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
