Also, all of this in Rust with no reference libraries or anything, which is why the realistic SPDY requirement is problematic. We built a small Go component which proxies SPDY to WebSockets to work around this limitation. ALSO, I can't imagine doing any of this with sed and socat haha

oh wow! at Edera we built a passthrough CRI (kind of a proxy) but we shave off certain requests to be handled by our own stuff. We've found this model to work pretty well actually! The biggest annoyance though is the streaming stuff. Specifically realistically needing SPDY in 2025
