Definitely not related, I've gotten really into Aperol lately

Been trying to get new clothes lately and been inspired by a lot of Stanley Tucci fits then I realized I'm not rich enough to spend my life relaxing on the Mediterranean coastline in order to make the clothes I'd be wearing actually make sense

Breadman is back

The greatest modern comfort the internet has brought us is watching videos of highly skilled people doing their craft in silence in long form youtube videos

The kind of strong anti-corruption stance you’d hope for out of the opposition party’s top leadership

I do think it’s funny when the car companies are like “we may be divided but now more than ever, I think we can all agree: car ❤️”

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world. Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

This goes so fucking hard dude

Americans will go on vacation to a place that isn’t a car sewer, walk and take public transit for 8-12 hrs. a day, notice a change in their health, and attribute it to “they must not have the Illuminati chemicals here”

ITS RAINING

I'm so sad for this country. Take care of yourselves today and for the next four years y'all

Air pollution has dropped significantly in #Paris in the last 15 years. Mayor @annehidalgo.bsky.social’s leadership has traded car space for green space, safe bike space, kid space.. and traded pollution for people. Good trade.

"Since removing these permit and review processes will help communities 'recover faster and stronger,' won't their permanent removal help California deal with, say, its housing shortages and make the supply recovery 'faster and stronger?'" reason.com/2025/01/15/i...

Our incoming president politicizing the LA fires as people are still dealing with the impacts is yet another reason I'm more and more convinced that I just need to leave this country

I just want affordable housing, walkable cities, and protected bike lanes.

Anyone have Indian restaurant recommendations in London?

I just want apartments and trains

The nerdiest game I wish someone (not me) would make is an intense traffic/transportation urban design simulator. Like forget the rest of the city sim I just want to play around with making the most efficient city to get around in. Car free cities, crazy spiral and circular cities etc.

My library is currently on sale! Come pick it up if that suits your fancy www.asoundeffect.com/sound-librar...

Here in Carmel Indiana, we're not exactly what you'd call a "major city", far from it actually, so these numbers on an imperfect counter give me some hope.

Looking up tech support answers online

Santa Monica city council flipped to a 6-1 progressive super majority in the last election with all 4 of the new councilors being pro bike infrastructure. Every day I go to the Santa Monica city planning website just waiting for updates and they haven't even started their terms yet

I've been on and off studying Japanese for years and the trip earlier this year was the push I needed to stay some what consistent with it. Obviously there's some pretty massive gaps in here but I've at least studied something for half of all the days this calendar year so that's pretty cool

The US has widely high traffic fatality rates for a developed country, even compared to Canada, in ways that I don’t think we fully understand. We need a lot more attention on cities/suburbs in the US that buck that trend and have better traffic safety records to understand why.

Some days I think to myself, I should just try going only bike and transit for a month or two and see how it goes then I look up transit access for my commute and see this

One thing I've been thinking about a lot is how much I grew up watching shows where there was a place to meet up and hang like the bar in HIMYM and how that doesn't exist in the US much. Part is obviously the death of third places but places are so expensive I don't want to regularly frequent them

Look how few cars there are driving on this road We should definitely draw broad conclusions about how much people like cars from this one photo of a partially completed road network.

I'm really glad this app finally feels like it's hit enough people that have moved over from the bad place that my feed feels somewhat fresh again

Pelosi just filed for reelection. She will be 86 when it's time to vote for her. I really can't with this damn party right now

This is what happens when you actually let developers build housing. In Austin, rent has dropped 15% from its peak and buildings are offering multiple months FREE! 🤯

“I don't wanna go far for stuff" My eloquent and powerful rebrand of the 15 minute city.

Legalize it everywhere.
