more accurate to say Hook is the face, Beanie is the brawn (he's physically modeled on Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, pictured below), & they take turns as the voice, as Hook gets very, very quiet once she's angry, whereas Beanie gets loud.

because I am someone who can detach herself from adaptions of material, I think those are really the only hard & fast changes I'd shut down. There might be others, if they were mentioned, where I'd be like hell no, but for the life of me, I can't think of any.

I always struggle with show-don't-tell so much because the way I process information in the work half the time feels like I have a running narrator in my head, telling me how I'm interpreting what I'm seeing around me, so that's what I write, and then people are like 'oh, you're telling again...' 😤
