When I was looking up stuff for tabletop research, I was caught off guard by the revelation of 'Oh right, indoor plumbing did widely exist' and made the call of 'Might as well modernize it a little bit to really justify all the suspiciously big sewer dungeons'.

By the time I fought Everyone's Idol Majima twice for the unlock, I was really wishing that they had some kind of method to get a specific Majima to spawn rather than bottoming out your Heat gauge then entering and leaving stores a whole bunch.

Shit, you're right. It's been quite a while since I watched any of the Fatal Fury OVAs (although the Motion Picture lives in my head rent free).
I was probably thinking of Jeff Bogard, who is always depicted as a very old looking man for some reason, even though he's 10 years younger than Geese.

I wish SNK had gone with the anime iteration of Krauser. Aside from preferring the design, it better sells the idea that he and Geese are really half-siblings rivals who are the same age.
Game Krauser makes me think of like 'uncle who beat up his nephew because he said his tie looked stupid once'.

It's rough as someone who, while having a main, prefers to actually like, switch characters. Bro, there's a WHOLE ASS ROSTER and I didn't spend $60 just to play as Ken all the time.

I love Soma Cruz's outfit in Aria of Sorrow too, but bro, that's not practical nor comfortable to wear EVERYWHERE.

I personally sometimes use the Point Shop as a 'I will use this background for my desktop so I don't have to trawl through Google searches and AI slop' tool.

Yeah. SNK was definitely stronger when it came to pixel art. Capcom designed some good stages for their games, but almost every SNK fighter had especially gorgeous and highly detailed ones in comparison.
I still think about Iori's stage in King of Fighters '95 or that campus background from '99.

Extra bonus points for stuff like Sean's stage being the road beyond the alley of Alex's, shifting weather conditions in Dudley's stage or the rare stage intros like Yun skateboarding in.
Love shit like that. It's one of those dumb little things that makes me feel like the world is more alive.

To me is also felt like it was taking a more SNK approach to its presentation in so many ways, but I can admit that even back then I was a bit biased toward their more grounded and gritty aesthetics in comparison to Capcom's more cartoon-y or caricaturistic one (which only got worse with SF4 and 5).

Really appreciate that graffiti in-game on the left of Megaman with a Glock.
The art direction they opted for in SF3 (at least NG and SI) is one of its absolute biggest charms for me. Everything felt genuine in that 'people are gonna see what all these little details and they're gonna LOVE IT'.

I'm just sitting here, genuinely curious if From Software is going to port the first three Armored Core games to anything else or if it's limited strictly to PS Plus.

I want shorter games with worse graphics made by people who are paid more to work less and I'M NOT KIDDING.

Whoever said they improved the Sonic CD special stages is moonlighting as Pinocchio because that's the lie (and I love Sonic CD special stages).

Honestly, when I play an FPS (or any kind of shooter), I'd prefer to use a controller for everything except aiming. Movement is way fucking easier with an analog stick.

You don't gotta apologize for this! It's totally valid to be fired up and concerned in the current situation!

When I was 5 years old, anything that was like Dragon Quest was an RPG to me, so obviously Zelda wasn't and you wouldn't have been able to convince me otherwise.
