(2/2) Our beautiful Hampshire countryside is most notable for being the home of literary luminary Jane Austen, whose 250th anniversary we also celebrate this year.
As a fan of her work, I was proud to pay tribute to Austen's enduring legacy during the Commons' debate on International Women's Day.

(3/3) And yet, the possession of NCII is not illegal, only its distribution, so tech companies don't remove it, and regulator Ofcom is proving wholly inadequate when it comes to tackling this issue.
If we are to protect victims, and hold their abusers accountable, this gap must be bridged.

(2/3) Constant across all these forms is NCII's devastating impact, with victims frequently experiencing immense emotional trauma, social exclusion, and the destruction of their ability to trust.
Tragically, this often leads to self-harm and suicide.

(2/2): I've written to both the Health Secretary and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board, requesting an urgent review of available financial assistance.
For community pharmacies to continue their vital role in local healthcare, it's essential they get the support they need.

(2/2): Youth Parliament provides valuable opportunities for young people to get involved in politics and have a voice on the issues that matter to them. It's so important to teach young people about how Government works and how to make a difference.

We know what needs to be done, and so I'm calling on the Government and Hampshire's Police and Crime Commissioner to:
🎯 Work with local communities to build up dedicated rural crime units 🔎
🎯 Increase specialist training for new police officers 👮‍♂️
🎯 Forge collaboration across county boundaries 🤝

(2/2) After the rally, I met my constituent, Sam, who works to help people with learning disabilities live independently.
Each day, Sam and her colleagues feel the impact of the social care crisis, battling severe underinvestment and the budget's damaging effects, whilst demand continues to surge.

We also talked about the CAN Bill🌳, as well as politics more generally, going over a wide range of topics, from pension poverty💷to international relations🌍.
I always enjoy hearing what’s important to local people, and I had a lovely time – a big thank you to St John's for having me ❤️.

Too often, even a short maternity gap can have devastating consequences for women’s careers, and the loss of vital skills in the workforce.
Ivee is seeking to solve both of those problems, and it was fascinating to hear their story and their ambitions.

(4/4) Patients, staff, and taxpayers could all do without these issues – tackling them starts with delivering Basingstoke hospital sooner rather than later, and reversing the employer national insurance hike.
I will not stop campaigning on these issues.

(3/4) Meanwhile, even with its rebuild going ahead, Frimley also has its own set of issues.
In my meeting with hospital leadership, we spoke about the structural problems with local care, with GP surgeries especially struggling with tax rises and lease issues, like those at Branksomewood Surgery.

(2/4) In Basingstoke, it's clear the outdated facilities present huge challenges and, whilst the staff's ability to persevere despite these challenges is inspiring, the hospital's age is definitely starting to show.
Lots of its infrastructure needs replacing, and this likely cannot wait until 2040.

(3/3) By putting the company into special administration, with a swift exit plan, we could clear out this debt, and get Thames back onto a stable financial footing.
In doing so, we would put an end to this doom-loop and ensure that the amount customers receive a service reflective of their bills.

(2/3) Thames Water is already so heavily burdened by interest payments that it's unable to make the infrastructure improvements needed to turn things around.
Tacking on more debt only worsens this issue and forestalls the inevitable – short-term survival means nothing without a long-term solution.

Devolution is going to take a long time, and will be hugely impactful. It's essential that this process undergoes proper scrutiny, and so elections must go ahead (2/2).

Project Gigabit is about delivering high speed broadband to harder-to-reach areas. So it was good to hear that 4,400 premises in many of our villages including #Winchfield #Sherfield #Rotherwick #Ewshot and #Crondall should be connected by 2028.

Cancer diagnosis and treatment waiting times are far too long. If we want to increase survival rates, we must invest in key treatments including radiotherapy.
