A crown court judge, in a magistrate’s court, hearing a civil application?
comment in response to

Is it a criminal case or civil, why is he walking around, and the gavel. Also the lawyer from the big firm turning up in Burnley etc. just terrible!

Was wondering if it fell under FSMA as an investment

Well I’ll be boring and say it depends on the contract! Someone has clearly advised them there are grounds. The second claim is weirder- some sort of claim that they should have been provided more information

There have been questions over crowdfunding for various causes, but the biggest misconception seems to be that legal action is able to challenge primary legislation

I think that is fundamentally the argument, but if anything the remedy is wrong anyway- in that case surely the LA should be under an obligation to provide. How it relates to VAT on private schools more generally I see no argument

Seem to have a plan to raise £300k+ with no real framework of how that looks progressing to a hearing (or any cognisance that it would be unlikely to get that far)

I couldn’t get it to work for cases, I referenced those manually. It’s very helpful for secondary sources if you are writing something that uses lots of those (and it does all the cross references for you)

But it doesn’t. The real wealth inequality is those aged 55+, and those who are <30 who your proposals hit the hardest

It also fails to model change in behaviour that any tax would bring, as well as not thinking of the important roll of PF as institutional investors

Surely the problem is changing the rules on pension relief benefits those with already substantial pensions, and harms those who should be building a pension and risk becoming a risk on the state?

Sad it’s in the news again, but I’m sure you will put up a strong defence!

Not a Scottish claim as far as I am aware?
comment in response to

Well yes the main problem is no claim exists in the first place! The rest was fun hypotheticals

Although I don’t imagine you will get much credit in damages for deleting after the case has been brought either

They are a trademark of the breed, although some people get in wrong and cut them like terriers. Much calmer than most breeds that size

You could ban them in British waters (although how do you define one, without covering legitimate vessels) but most are flagged and kept overseas. Many of these countries have a strong incentive to maintain the status quo ($$$$)

I know you don’t do LA! Would be interesting to see how they would have dealt with this though

It is possible to recycle a yacht! Restrictions would be difficult legally, and it’s probably not in the top 10 sources of emissions for the ‘average’ billionaire

I don’t mind billionaires spending money on whatever, but perhaps we should question governments holding on to them in perpetuity
