This one from last week looks at the first incident of an American slave ship entering a British port after 1834, with new archival work, addressing the "benign slavery" myth, and centering the freedom choice in Bermuda of 72 of 76 enslaved people on the Enterprise. #EarlyModern #SlaveryArchive

Ah Dominik- so kind of you to put a shout out, thank you! sorry for my late reply- I had a baby! 😊 I’m working on the 19c ivory trade & currently looking at the Port of London. I had big ideas about visiting Hamburg but haven’t managed to get there yet. I’ll send you my biblio once it’s compiled?
