Ah, what a shame! But it would make a lovely canvas for some creative darning...

Victoria - not heard of this one!

His wife no longer sought to be intimate with him so he figured child prostitution was the obvious response? Sure.

The communications from within the coalition-and often how Ley's responses are portrayed by media-often sound like "the office girl" is being given a directive. (I'm in the Bendigo electorate - the office girl is the scapegoat for the failed NP candidate to ensure his business was legally compliant.

If goats had opposable thumbs they'd be running the place. And probably doing a good job of it too!!

My excuse for not cleaning windows - the local feathered folk always try to fly through if the windows are not suitably dusty. I hope the falcon was OK!

Even with the erroneous "they've only been around 50 years" (aka, "I only became aware of them"), what other things in the local area that have only been around 50 years get celebrated? I'm guessing plenty of sports clubs celebrate their 25 and 50 year anniversary without a whimper from council.

That is disgraceful - as if they are competing with the Qld library in a race to the bottom.

Too detailed? Their policies were wishes, with no more supporting documentation than a toddler screaming "I want" while kicking thr floor.

Wasn't he hinting at AEC and scrutineers not doing their job impartially just days ago?

I am so sorry for your loss...

I am also hoping for a win for Zoe Daniels. But the universe has missed an opportunity for the funniest moment in auspol history: Wilson swans off prematurely to Canberra, is appointed opp leader and then loses his seat! Two opp leaders in one election 😂 Will just hope for his concession speech.

We had Dutton himself lauding Trump, and Cash promising some Trump energy spilling over from Dutton. And then Price (and then, again, Price). Even before the same 'policies' (poor word doing a lot of heavy lifting there!) as the US administration and doge-like appointments.

Obsessing over Bendigo. Lisa Chesters has been a tireless advocate for the electorate, diligent about including smaller towns in the region. I'm horrified anybody voted for someone who would blame the "office girl" for the lapse of a liquor licence in his venues (and serving alcohol unlicensed).

While the media was obsessing on how the Vic ALP was going to mean a swing against Labor in the federal election, maybe they missed the toxic LNP in Qld and what it's "brand" was going to mean?

Gross. They seem to be devoid of self reflection.

It was tricky... lots to choose from. In the end I just worked through the scraps from left to right.

Nope, not one from the trumpeters or anybody else. Never trading up this phone!

There are rules - I always assume a party that thinks the AEC regulations don't apply to them probably don't care much about law and order and free elections either. Good luck today! www.aec.gov.au/media/2023/1...

On News Radio last week I heard how pensioners would be ready and excited to earn a few extra bucks filling in for migrants. Clearly never done a day's physical work in his life if he thinks nanna is automatically good for 12 hours in the heat picking fruit!

The ABC now checking in with cafe owners about how good a murder trial is for business? Maybe I haven't woken up properly, but it seems like yes, a good triple murder is just the thing for small business!

Not an expert, but as I have had it explained it is a lack of infrastructure for the supply and maintenance of power for refrigeration in some countries.
comment in response to post
Not the complete answer, but lack of refrigeration for storage and transportation makes it difficult for some places. (I am not putting this forward as a support for live export).

A fantastic initiative - especially for rural dwellers.

I have assumed that the treatment of Higgins by the Liberal party *was* their "women's policy" writ large

Nice little pay off for tying us into his AUKUS nonsense, risking our reputation and relationship with a much more stable ally in France.

It really is the best they have to offer. I'm not sure it even occurs to the LNP to actually do better.

Good work!!!

That's the good old LNP boys merit shit right there!

Hands up who wants to be anaesthetised in the same room as this guy having a joke?
