For me it used to be The Shakespeare Gardens, overlooking the river Avon, or Shakespeare’s Church, where I found hope after a hard time. But that has all changed now. Those places are tainted in the most awful way. A green forest, like the Forest of Arden referred to in your quote, perhaps.

Thank you - they run around the edge of our village. I was worried about them being an eyesore but I have chosen to ‘embrace’ them.
