I bet a lot of people have had an experience like this with a bad boss - there’s an email in your inbox on Saturday night saying, “Prove to me your worthiness by Monday or else.” I’m on the side of the workers, not the billionaire asshole bosses.

Oh, how wonderful! I saw them at the beautiful Crest theater in Sacramento many years ago, and it's one of the best shows I've been to.

I noticed you mentioned their version of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" in an earlier episode. That's pretty neat that they listen! I only discovered the podcast in November and I'm about 120 episodes in. I've become insufferable to my friends and family, sharing little anecdotes.

I had never heard the original song, but I love catching references like that, and I can't believe it's been sitting there in plain sight for 35 years. (The song is "Lucky Ball and Chain," and they sing "I just stood there whistling 'There goes the bride' as she walked out the door.")

“ once white people in the suburbs start feeling the pain it will …” It will, what motherfucker? You think that Trump voting suburbanites are going to suddenly renounce their whole ideology instead of blaming everyone else?

So Friday they'd "accidentally" nuclear weapons experts. Now "accidentally" fired ppl working on bird flu. Maybe "move fast and break things" DOESN'T WORK IN GOVERNMENT.
