This is a great resource. An even better one is Abbie Hoffman's Steal This Book. There's even an archive version: archive.org/stream/pdfy-...

This reminds me of the fascination of songwriters with Lost Cause bullshit. The Band and The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down is a prominent example. For fuck’s sale, Robbie Robertson, you’re Canadian!

I have Medi-Cal, as do all of my neighbors and every single person I know in this area. We have one overworked hospital/clinic and another separate overworked clinic. None of us are going to have health care or a place to get it.

I'm too remote for mail delivery and have to go the the post office to get it. I would be delighted if they sent my mail to me by mule.

Lots of people posting photos of Woody Guthrie, which I wholeheartedly agree with. And would add a reminder that Springsteen is the spiritual successor to Guthrie and Seeger.

Forgot to mention I also have a Pyrenean Mountain Dog coming in May. Actually supposed to be born in the next few weeks.

Reminder that a "Caesar figure" isn't much better than Hitler. Gaius Julius Caesar was a horrible person. His slaughter of the Gauls was seen as barbaric even by the standards of the time and today would be classified as genocide. He also slept with his enemies wives. And his allies wives.

Any gardeners out there? I have 1700 sq ft of garden beds, but they've been unused for 2 years and they're full of cover and grass. I want to take the cultivator to them and just till everything under. However, I have drip irrigation. So can't run the cultivator without snagging hoses. Advice?

I would take videos of squishing my bare feet in mud for the foot perverts every day and twice on Sunday before I wrote for ANY media outlet these days.

It's a good thing, though. Cheapest eggs at the store were $6, up $1.50.

@greatdismal.bsky.social has shown a remarkable ability to extrapolate our future state from our present state, and I've got some bad news...

There's a curious phenomenon observed with some books. They create their own futures. The act of writing it down, in fact, brings it about. Bad news; the two I can think of are Neuromancer and Snow Crash.

Shit, I've just been reading the ideas of the neoreactionaries and they stole their vision of the future directly from Snow Crash.

I wish there were an option to create a thread after you've already posted something. Anyway, Fight Club bros being in charge of our government is important, because Tyler Durden's plan was to bring down modern civilization.

You know the Fight Club bros? The really annoying guys who became obsessed with the book/movie? The guys who failed to realize it was a comedy? Pretty sure they're now in charge of our government.

Musk has keys to the house reminds me of one of the best scenes in Futurama. "I'll sell our children's organs to zoos for meat! And I'll go into people's houses at night and wreck up the place!" www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDTi...
