I do not pretend to think that many of our leaders care about women, but they should realize that their complete lack of morals is exactly why people don’t believe a word they say.

American companies quite literally lost one trillion dollars in a single day but on the other hand Dave from accounts receivable doesn't have to worry about using they/them pronouns when he sees Leslie in the break room

Oh, Canada! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Momodou Taal is from a political family and joined a pro-Palestinian movement that led to his suspension from Cornell. Now the British-Gambian student is fighting to stay in the U.S. as the Trump administration tries to deport him.

Every day is a good day to remind lawyers that if rule of law collapses, so too will their profits. Short term capitulation = long term economic collapse for the profession. In autocracies or kleptocracies, you don't hire good lawyers. You hire bribers and fixers.

On this day in 1911,146 workers died in the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire. The bosses responsible were never held accountable for the awful working conditions that sparked the blaze. Remember this today as politicians and their corporate backers attack workplace safety.

⚡️FIGHT THE OLIGARCHY RALLY ⚡️ STARTING TOMORROW. Nevada. Arizona. Colorado. You, me, and Bernie. Dem and GOP districts. ❤️💙 See you there 💪🏽🌞

Congress is broken because too many people in power are comfortable doing nothing. I’m running for Congress to stand for YOU instead of the few. We need new people in office that fight for you, not just their re-election.

The Democratic Party's favorability rating among Americans stands at a record low, fueled in part by dimming views from its own frustrated supporters, a new CNN Poll finds: cnn.it/4bRAzKs

Time to be widely unpopular - Newsom has a point, as do many woman who have raised objections

"They'll never cut Social Security" is the new "they'll never overturn Roe v Wade."

Before and After - An Olive Tree Makeover. Thank You Olive Whisperer!

I’m kinda blown away by all these TikToks of people showing up to Republican reps’ town halls & letting them have it over Musk/Trump/DOGE. It seems grassroots. If it becomes a lasting trend to go to town halls, shout down people who are lying to you, and post it online, we might all survive this.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office. Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc. Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

Spotted in Wisconsin. $10.49 for eggs. Prices keep going up and Donald Trump isn’t doing a damn thing about it!

Today I had someone block me, not because I harassed them or trolled them or called them names, but because I thought they were wrong and unfair in how they characterized a writer. And I think that is just sad. And ultimately unhelpful for society. You can go check my comments for background

I find the whole anti woke, clutch my pearls nasty cancel culture is a s many of us can agree - bs. BUT there also exists the leftist drama queens "omg I can't believe they said that, and so that leftist pundit/writer is dead to me" screed that is just so destructive. We don't have time for that

This is true of pretty much every critique of "woke culture" in the last decade. If you dig down through the layers & layers & layers of puffery & harumphing & table pounding, looking for actual substance, what you find is a few scattered, low-stakes anecdotes repeated ad infinitum.

The real MeToo “cancel culture” was what happened to the women and other victims who came forward. They were retraumatized, harassed, humiliated, sued, fired, and blacklisted. Then they were the subject of a revisionist history that MeToo went “too far” and deserved a reactionary backlash

Turns out that centuries of economic thought are correct: increasing the supply of a good will, all things being equal, lower the price of the good. Weird that people talk themselves out of this obvious insight when it comes to housing.

Just saw a farmer say, "you don't have to admit you were wrong, you have to admit you were lied to, " and idk that seems like a good framing to call people in

Musk has sicced his followers on the WSJ writer who reported on a DOGE staffer’s racist online, history demanding her firing. This is a tactic Silicon Valley’s neoreactionaries have been advocating for years: Pick a reporter, dox and harrass, make an example of them, make everyone else afraid.

I hate to say this, but it seems clear that Trump has an insatiable appetite for new groups to blame in order to distract from what they are really doing and not doing. The only thing that gets the US out of a hole this deep without significant bloodshed is a New Great Depression

This is another reason why I think Democrats need to talk about "protections" rather than "regulations." It's easy for the right to demonize regulations as government overreach but everyone wants the government to protect them from being killed in preventable plane crashes.

We updated TrumpGolfTrack.com to include the price of eggs and gas per your request. And a nice little home screen icon. More to come 🤣

for as long as I've been covering politics the chattering classes have demanded that Democrats lead on bipartisanship and it turns out that—as I've always suspected!—it's the exact quality that voters do not want in their politicians
