The ER has been busy and sleep hard to come by, but I managed to sit down for the first time in over a month to do some writing and managed 900 words in 90 minutes. Up to 75k/120k on the current WIP! #writing #writingcommunity

Quick Fact: No one schedules appointments in the ER Patients keep checking/decompensating, lab/imaging tests keep resulting, and ambulances keep bringing in critical patients Thus, ER Docs don't get a "break," and we often have to time bathroom breaks carefully (if we go at all) #writing #medsky

I know I dispel a lot of inaccurate medical tropes, but let’s confirm an accurate one: PROFUSE BLEEDING FROM HEAD TRAUMA - the scalp is VERY well vascularized - can bleed A TON from very small wounds - they arrive w layers of gauze, but stops w DIRECT PRESSURE #writing #booksky #filmsky #scriptsky
