The dandelions are nothing compared to the enemy I am hesitant to face -- buckthorn. I have gloves, but will need a cooler day when I can comfortably wear long pants. The photo is from last year in July.

Spent the afternoon weeding. The dandelions have become too numerous to make eradication a likely outcome. I will continue removing those engulfing my mom's nice garden. I made but a small dent in my efforts today. I removed the dandelions' spiky ally as well.
