I've seen the association mentioned in social media but not so much as thought pieces or longer. It would probably have to be grounded in Linda Williams's work.

The man who put mice and baby chicks into a blender is running this program, got it

So people who seek help and treatment instead of running for president will be punished, got it

unresolved childhood trauma that they responded to by turning into narcissists who seek power, control, and attention to fill that void

I've just started limiting news intake to NPR and am trying to do more community things to avoid the anxiety spiral. You're not alone in feeling this way.

You don't have to read the headlines. Reading and posting about things may give some people a sense of community and a feeling of "doing something" but if it makes you feel terrible and paralyzed, that's not helping anyone, most of all yourself.

Congrats on another chapter!

Similar experience. I finally realized talk is cheap and validation and support are more important. I have much better male friends now.

Baldoni is googling the "Streisand effect" as we speak.

Even if she's not a perfect victim, this case could have repercussions on sexual harassment and systemic DARVO in Hollywood.

So the billionaires wasted everyone’s time and political resources for leverage to a cheaper deal. Cool.

Fury Road: Furiosa was kidnapped as a child and branded by a death cult warlord who considers women property. Not me: Why is she so angry?

Is he arguing that the post-WWII, Soviet-aligned, "anti-fascist" GDR was "Nazi resistant"? That's a long walk.

Question, are all these creators under 30? Because I remember "Angels" charting after John Tesh played it on his contemporary worship program. Branding was a bit off 😆

So dumb. People need to mind their own business. In Philly I wear masks when I'm sick and have only gotten pushback twice. Once a guy turning the corner in a van asked me if I had COVID and I responded, "No, but you will, hopefully." He laughed 🤷‍♀️

It makes sense given he won with blue-collar unions, and she represented Oregon.

Even if she's a problematic individual, this case is going to set a legal precedent on fighting workplace sexual harassment and systemic DARVO.

Agreed, and even if she's a problematic individual, this case is going to set a legal precedent on fighting workplace harassment and systemic DARVO.

Agreed, I'm just afraid the public is going to want a "perfect victim" and dismiss or equivocate the sexual harassment allegations, like with the Depp trial.

Fair point, but the problem is with this specific film and promo. She was being criticized for the way she promoted the film when it was his production company's idea, and it damaged her reputation. He changed the promo narrative for himself and looked better.
comment in response to post
That's fine. Victims of sexual harassment don't have to be likeable.
comment in response to post
It's weird but not surprising how quickly some "progressive" people assumed she is lying about this because she's been deemed unlikeable in their eyes. And from the Depp flying monkeys no less. Plus ça change.

Very cool to see! I'm finishing a book on the railway journey eastern and southeastern Europeans took to ports of embarkation. I know a number of Cunard customers took feeder ships from northern continental harbors to Liverpool. It seems this advertisement was meant for them as well!
comment in response to post
Do you know if there were feeder ships to Liverpool from Rijeka and Trieste or if the feeder ships departed from Rotterdam and Antwerp? I write on the railway journey that southeastern Europeans took to get to northern continental feeder ships to Liverpool, so I would be curious.
