It basically IS an American protest. We are all fighting for the same thing. Against fascism. Against oligarchy. It’s a World War. Just not the kind we are used to. … and there are a lot more of us than there are of them.

As I stated earlier, Canada is more likely to be the 33rd member of the EU than the 51st state.
We are not an American nation, like Mexico or the US, we are Europe-across-the-sea.
We are bilingual, socialist. We look outwards. We believe that all nations are exceptional. We have a democracy.

Liberals have a minority govt so have to work with the other parties to govern. Trudeau stepped down as PM (and Liberal party head) so the vote was to elect who would take his place. So Carney will be PM until an election is called. PP is trying to bring the govt down with a non confidence vote

If Rtump/Elmo were doing the same sh*t in France, instead of USA, they'd be millions of people in the streets throwing rocks (pavés) & lighting cars on fires. Americans either don't exactly know what's going on or expect a miracle to stop it without doing anything themselves.
