He activated the California National Guard, which he does have the authority to do. Just about every president in modern history has done it. The CNG is not going to go out there & slam their neighbors. Trump see the CNG as just units that totally obey him. He has a rude awakening coming.

He didn't send in the military. National Guards are state militias, not the federal military. Trump didn't "send them in" because they live there already, its the CALIFORNIA National Guard.

Gavin Newsom didn't say that. Presidents have the authority to activate National Guardsmen from a state to assist in disasters or unrest. Every President has activated a state guard unit at some point. GW Bush sent guard units to fight in Afghanistan. There's nothing unconstitutional about it.

I think you are confusing the California National Guard with the federal military. The federal military has nit been deployed. National Guard are state militias that assist the state during disasters & unrest. The Presidenymt can direct them to go do something but they are not the federal military.
