60% of Americans support what Trump is doing broadly, but they want him to cut prices. So what does he do? Slap 25% cost uplift on price of imported materials … beer, cars, canned food, new buildings etc etc will all cost more. Thing about tariffs is no one really wins.

Saw a theory that Trump/Musk are trying to destroy the value of the dollar to promote their crypto currencies. Could be - I mean doing that makes running US treasury and central bank impossible, but they probably want that as well.
