And by the way, the more people speak *the harder it is to single one person out*

heartwarming AF - read whole thread 💕

Tonight an unbelievable **34,000 people** gathered for our Denver rally to take on billionaires and win our country back. This was the largest political gathering in Denver since Obama in 2008. Also bigger than the 2024 DNC. And the largest ever rally in Bernie’s career (and obviously, mine too).

At some point normal people are going to notice that Trump is disassembling the federal government, right?

We expected 2,000 people out in GOP-held Greeley, Colorado. 11,000 people showed up. Something special is happening, folks. Now is the time to organize in every dimension possible and get to work.

Post office, libraries, medical students, teachers…so they can steal our money while we try to salvage something. It’s all devastating.

100% necessary: temporary, occasional tuning out as part of a sustainable routine and/or recovery unacceptable: indefinitely tuning out, refusing to face reality, claiming you just can't take it. If you care about ANYTHING, longterm mental health requires action NOW. Wake up. Doing beats despairing.

I really want our Canadian friends to see this. We are in here screaming to be heard. Huge numbers of people in the USA are organizing and mobilizing against this. Don't give up on us. #ElbowsUp #Canada

Every time you see someone powerful acting like a craven coward in the face of this authoritarian menace, let it stiffen your own spine. We are all we've got.

this is the way

This should be completely viral. This is such a perfect video because everyone can understand it. It’s using items in a store rather than statistics.

very encouraging quick read to start the day with: Resistance is alive and well in the United States wagingnonviolence.org/2025/03/resi...

#threethings $: donate to the same unhoused person regularly. Be predictable time: find a protest or march and put it on your calendar. Go. preparation: spend some time grooming your news feed for accuracy and tone, so you can be informed but not doomed. #doOneThing Image/alt tag for details.

How to support your library: -Use it -Talk about it positively to others, including social media -Show up to city council meetings -Show up to library board meetings -Run for library board seats -Become a friend of the library -contact your rep when a bill affects libraries -give to fundraisers

AI chatbots are still anti-thinking plagiarism machines that are wrong most of the time. I don’t care who uses them or says they’re great or thinks they’re our collective future. My future involves a lot of thinking, original work, and getting things right, so I have no use for them

👏

Great thread on what to expect when you call your reps. One thing I’ll add (which I also say about meeting with reps/staffers irl)—however unusual this interaction is to you, they do this all the time, and most of the time it’s in their interest to cooperate with the basic terms of the interaction

Now that Trump has proven to be a ruthless autocrat, too many have grown timid and silent. That is simply not who I am. It is not what I believe, and it is not what I will do. Instead, I will worry. I will hope. And I will fight. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/i-wo...

At this time tomorrow, our leaders will be answering your questions. Join Leah and Ezra for their weekly discussion to cut through the chaos and talk about the most impactful ways to take action. Sign up now: indivisible.zoom.us/...

Any and all of us can be disappeared by the regime. I hope that people really understand this. This is the time on the fascist clock we're currently on.

really good point. working to spread awareness is not preaching to the choir

Spent more time on this stuff today and I absolutely think I’d be frozen in anxiety without this option. This is letting me exist, it’s letting me move.

It's been a long day so far but I am really encouraged because people are in motion everywhere. Also, while many institutions are acting with cowardice, lots of individual people are not.

Okay, so I think this should put paid to the "I feel terrible and depressed because people aren't even resisting like they did in 2017" argument.

Doing volunteer stuff tonight in the lane I chose — if you haven’t yet, highly rec offering your skills to an organization in need if you can! It really helps with the constant doom tbh.

Watch who and what they are attacking first.

Thank goodness for the ACLU! A big court win today in Ohio for our LGBTQ+ community.

In a stunning legal rebuke, a federal judge has ruled that Elon Musk and officials from the Department of Government Efficiency must reinstate nearly all functions of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Totally understand if Schumer’s weakness was a final straw for seeing politics as a solution. You still need to vote in every election, every time. That’s how they built this power and off we don’t do this simple thing we’ll fight forever.

Got a printer? You can start fighting fascism. Here's a thread of things you can print and distribute. 👇 I promise doing something--even this--feels better than raging silently. And maybe it'll show you that standing up is possible and open you up to more things you can do.

Someone generously shared this template of a handout they were inspired to create for their local community with me. Here's a canva link if you'd like to adapt it for your communities: www.canva.com/design/DAGgN...

yes, it is dark but you give me hope because the light in me and the light in you can illuminate the whole world can’t you see you and me can set this whole place free
