I'll be damned. I read that they were lowering the sampling size, any insight into that? My stats classes from 2005 tell me the data will be marginally worse as the sample size shrinks l, if true.

Interesting. I broadly assumed the federal purges and installation of yes men across the government would have an effect on data reliability. Have the revisions of previous months data always been so drastic?

Trump is in a precarious position. To pop the markets and get people spending is to lower interest rates. He can't do that. But he does control the "economic narrative" via the BLS, and they keep releasing positive data (and then quietly revising it much less positive months later).

Very much the difference between being a smart guy running a legitimate company who aims to help others vs a "smart guy" who failed up into running the world's largest ponzi scheme.

If nothing else, I started something around my house. "Oh god honey we need to stock up on some things, he is throwing a tantrump again."

Big baby throws another tantrump and uses unchecked authority to punish people in increasingly bizarre ways.
Tantrump was a spelling error, but I really like it.

I can't believe they created an entire social media company just for a guy with mild cognitive impairment to scream every random thought.

And we thought Rumsfeld was incompetent. I'm legitimately shocked that Joe Rogan isn't SECDEF at this point.

His cognitive dissonance is off the charts. Dude (allegedly) paid people to come vote and then accused people speaking against him of being paid protestors.

Listening to his speech yesterday reminded me of my 4-year-old child explaining why he needs a 2nd popsicle. At no point does the explanation approach reasonable and many of the facts are just made up.
