Loyalty to our Constitution, not a politician, god or person. Not an official Air Force acct. I’m a fed worker, vet & mil spouse here to communicate, share information and more importantly, offer support. I’ve BTDT but am not an expert on much 😅

Oh we’re probably gonna stop buying F-35s. The F-47 is on deck and costs like 3x’s as much. 🙄 Agreed though. I’d rather see development of 6th gen drones.

This country is literally bleeding money because of this administration’s corruption, incompetence and greedy MAGA grifters, like this family of the poster child for FAFO. 🙄 $30M?! Are you fucking kidding me?! The DOJ no longer has any competent lawyers.

Great question because the US pulled out of the WHO!

Oh! And can we also talk about the “direct inverse correlation” of fluoride and stupidity?

…”lack of data on booster shots”? How could there be a lack of data? Didn’t COVID provide us with an abundance of data?

Proton offers a free VPN and email service. They also have paid subscriptions. Just be careful of what VPN you use. Some aren’t safe. Nord is one that is reputable too.

The LESO/1033 Program handles excess military property for use by law enforcement agencies, but prohibits transfer of military uniforms, body armor, Kevlar helmets and the other items discussed above.
comment in response to

Kevlar helmets; and explosives or pyrotechnics of any kind. Also, aircraft and vehicles available in the program are “demilitarized,” meaning that any specific military technology (e.g. communication equipment) are removed prior to transfer to law enforcement agencies.

Prohibited equipment includes: Any aircraft, vessels or vehicles that inherently contain weaponry, (e.g. tanks, Bradley fighting vehicles, armed drones); crew served/large caliber (.50 cal or greater) weapons and ammunition; military uniforms; body armor;

I don’t think you read the link you provided. It literally lists the items that are prohibited and those are weapons, not equipment. Please, feel free to inform yourself before taking me to task. Thanks.

I’m aware LOL Just not sure what it means in the context of my comment.

Sorry, not sure what you’re referring to in the context of my tongue-in-cheek comment.

Like what though? Weapons aren’t the same as equipment. Please be specific. Also, wasn’t the National Guard involved in those places?
comment in response to

Also, local LE’s can get that shit on their own. Just like I can buy better guns and bullets that the military uses.
comment in response to

That’s not “weaponry” though. That’s equipment. I have been with the AF in some capacity for 20+ years and we are very literal thinkers 😅 Words matter 😉

Tell me you haven’t seen Conclave without telling me you haven’t seen Conclave 😅 Or been paying ANY attention at all for your entire life to the Catholic Church or the Pope for the last few weeks 🙄

THAT SAID, the words “excess military” might mean “decommissioned” equipment (not my thought, but will let the person who mentioned it to me take credit if they want to). But equipment is not the same as weapons, in this context, as I understand it anyway.
comment in response to
post
I cannot verify that but if I was a bettin’ man, I’d say 100% no fucking way. Like what kind of weapons? Because other than firearms & maybe grenades, I don’t know how any local LE could deploy any military weapons. Also, probably against the law. www.military.com/equipment/we...

We have seen it, but have no idea what “excess military” means, other than it’s an oxymoron 😅 Here are some good resources to help understand how the military can be used: substack.com/@stephenvlad... (recommend listening to this one if possible vs reading it)

Has the mayor of OKC spoken out about this? He isn’t on BS but is on X and IG. I didn’t see anything from him on IG (@mayordavidholt). He’s @davidfholt on X (which is a maga echo chamber that I refuse to get sucked into). But maybe others have asked him for a statement?

I am not guaranteed a 2-3% bonus every year. I am not aware of anyone in my agency that is. What performance system is that? LOL I also don’t know of anyone that routinely works overtime. Just wanting to clarify for anyone else reading so they don’t get the impression of either of those things 😉

We don’t get a severance if we resign, unless you’re talking about the Deferred Resignation Program (DRP aka “the fork”); however we do receive a severance package if we are RIF’ed. I am not looking to voluntarily leave my agency and likely wouldn’t be approved anyway & won’t be RIFed either.

I earn 20-30% less than my private counterparts. And I don’t think anyone would disagree that it would be a good idea to make it easier to get rid of underperforming employees. It IS difficult & time-consuming in an environment where a supervisor doesn’t have a lot of time.

The Army is not the Air Force 😅 My experience has definitely been very different from yours. I’m 20 years, I have met only a handful of employees who were a waste of space. I wouldn’t call any of our benefits “lucrative”, except maybe the paid leave but it takes 15 years of service to get there.
