One of the ways that Elon Musk tried to cut costs at Twitter was by simply not paying rent. This wasn't an oversight. It is fundamental to his change management approach. Don't pay rent. Make the other side renegotiate/sue. Reap the benefits. And Musk just seized control of USG payment systems.
