This brings it home! I'll make a guess that tankers and container ships are even bigger now. I'd still prefer to take my chances dodging tankers while crossing the English channel than dodging traffic in London

i don’t think some americans understand the degree people outside their borders have to watch US domestic politics because of how US decisions can have significant consequences for us. i hope we can reach a place where we don’t have to worry about that, in the way americans never do about us.
