Everyone knows Pedro Pascal would never work at a Dutch Bros.

I’m not mad at someone trying to make money but yeah it’s hard to consider him as a regular person now.
comment in response to post
Everything about him has gotten very slanted towards marketing a brand.
comment in response to post
Yeah I say let him go. If he can see space and maximize it, that’s shit kids his age usually don’t.
comment in response to post
Also reading space is like literally the hardest thing to do at that age. I wouldn’t inhibit it. Again just my limited opinion based on some Bsky posts.
comment in response to post
I used to alternate between CB and CF a lot at that age, unless it’s like a legit academy or club team just let him have fun imo. I doubt he’s gonna get benched for 3 goal contributions.

World Cup veteran Emil Forsberg coming off the bench to help close out a #USOC2025 win for RBNY in rainy, 40-degree F conditions in May at an 8,000-seat USL Champo stadium 6,000 feet above sea level with a synthetic pitch and a 32-ton statue of Saturn by the entrance 🤌🤌

A whole lot of Dunning-Kruger effect out there these days.

Has the USSF confirmed they are supporting this for the CWC teams? The release I saw from FIFA was that it allowed member associations the ability to do it, but I'd never seen confirmation that US Soccer/MLS were doing so.

I was trying to figure out how this guy went from hospitality trainee to CEO of Servette in 4 years and it's obviously his ability to sell a glorious line of bullshit with extreme confidence.

Especially given there is no way I am putting that phrase in my search history.

Literally one of the funniest things on the internet. Thanks for reminding me of it, I just re-watched it like 4 more times 😂

Yeah I didn’t mean to make this seem like I’m making a counter-argument, rather that I could understand why others would.

Between inherent bias by the center believing their initial call was correct and the belief that changing the call could hurt their match rating(i.e. admitting they were wrong), PRO has some work to do on how this is managed.

The early sample size is a huge step in the right direction, but obviously we need more data to see if it continues.
comment in response to post
All this is still very early days and limited sample size, so take it for what it's worth. But there were some really inefficient games being played earlier this season.

Oh I’m certain he will be a positive addition, and a significant ceiling-raiser. I just don’t see him being a locked in starter at any position.

I actually had a lot of these questions. Quality depth is good, but it’s hard to see how Gressel is a regular starter. Unless his ability to rotate means he steps in for multiple roles as they need filled.

Which reminds me I still haven’t been to Lula the new spot there.

They desperately need some dribblers with how they play. This is a really good add. I've said for years Erik Thommy is playing on the wrong side of the state, but also I do not want to see what he'd do to KC in STL's setup.

Wait how had I never had this.

They do...but its a Qatar Airways charter because that is their shirt sponsor and of course they are owned by the kingdom.
comment in response to post
Also, it's not like he's with PSG getting that Qatar Airways plane with all first class seats and luxury amenities for 7hrs. They get a three-seat economy row of a Sun Country Airlines 737.

Winning the Europa League while finishing 17th in the PL would be something 😅

Forest is making a season out of doing it to their opponents tbh. They actually have a worse xGD on the year than Spurs.

Jamon added some context in his replies that I found interesting as well and certainly adjusted my perception somewhat. I think to Arman's original point, the ham-fisted way they are used for game ratings in places like FotMob lose the nuance necessary to evaluate game performance.

I guess there is something to be said about a defender's ability in ending a chaotic moment, but the stat very poorly measures it.
comment in response to post
Huge cosign. For the most part defenders with a lot of clearances are playing a lot against the ball, so it is really a game state/tactical measurement anyway. We already have interceptions, which are a much more useful stat because they require a change of possession.

Would have been 2022 at the Galaxy. I only know because I was at that game 😅.
