I've been looking into this as well recently, I think the closest I found was this (but no color): www.invisible-computers.com
For now I'm using a Kobo eReader and a server to display the calendar. I'm also thinking of installing a display on the kitchen to show recipes and meal prep instructions.

Nice! I've been a bit hesitant myself, I can't decide whether to just share what I'm working on, or if I should post other things more. It's a bit of a dilemma honestly π«

I'm trying to achieve financial security, enough so that I can just do and work on what I'm passionate about. Spend more time traveling, figure out where in the world I want to end up living (don't think it will be London), try new things... I'm sacrificing more now to get to that point sooner.

Haha I want to add those options too, but the idea is to do it more like Loom, so you can copy links to share the videos. Not just internally within a company, but also externally for things like product demos. I'll likely just cap the bandwidth, I've seen others do it at ~1TB/month which seems ok.

Yeah, maybe, it could work. I'm still fine tuning these things, I'll likely not have the finalized pricing in a while, planning to see the reception first. I think my main concern is less so the resolution and more so the traffic from sharing those videos, it can get pricey.

I do want to avoid all these "micro-limits" as much as possible since they're annoying but I don't want to accidentally put myself in a position where the cost to sustain a user > what they pay, as a solo maker w/ no funding.

I set the metrics I'm charging through the provider I use for streaming/transcoding/storage/... which are storage+bandwidth. I've set reasonable caps/user "globally" to stay cost effective, but there's other added costs (e.g. editing, edge cases) which I need to take into account. Bit tough π

Bona idea! PerΓ² em sembla que no estΓ tot ben indexat en el buscador, surten pocs resultats en general. NomΓ©s funciona amb el https://firesky.tv/ posant-hi els filtres correspondents (i mantenint la pestanya oberta).

Not really possible with the Chrome API as an extension. But I am looking at ways in the new version to hide and obscure the UI so it's not as prominent.

It's a bit more nuanced than that imo, the app is free & open source rn w/ 160K+ users. I need to:
- Convince at least some of them to upgrade
- Attract new users, switching from Loom/others
I think a decent featureset would help w/ that. Branding is top priority too though, redoing it all from 0.

Middle one looks the most interesting IMO

I had to shut it down because of all the API chaos. Sucks, because I made some meaningful connections through it!

Rough overview:
- Set your interests, API got the rest (bio, location...)
- Match % system to show users w/ interest overlap
- In-depth filters + keyword search
- "Tinder-like" swiping to make new friends 1:1
- Pin top tweets in your profile
- Gamified via referral/likes/boost to promote profiles

I'm using it for discovering new content and users who share my interests, so cool seeing everything pop up in real-time. I'm still hoping we get a proper search functionality (or someone builds it...), though.

Yeah, Iβm torn between keeping my original handle, or using my domain name, which I feel has less personality. I get how it has to work in terms of verification though, but I think Iβll stick with the default one for now.
