A really insightful discussion between @clarefuller.bsky.social and @capacitylaw.bsky.social. As a lay person it can be hard to find easy to understand resources about the law and best interests. I learned a lot from listening and recommend it for any lay people involved in best interests decisions.

Thank you very much for having me, Clare. I greatly enjoyed, and hope that some of my witterings about best interests, what the law requires, and why sometimes compliance with the law seems so difficult resonate and are of use.

An anonymised defendant in a committal hearing - again. @kitzingercelia.bsky.social raises some interesting points, not least about the role of the public in court reporting

Has anybody seen an injunction as wide-ranging as this one in the Court of Protection, extending as far as the family of health care professionals? In a Transparency Order that I was sent this week for a hearing I observed back in October. It’s for a research project I’m working on. Thanks!

Heather Walton can be named as the mother of a P in a Court of Protection case. 2 days ago I could have been held in contempt of court for saying that: fined, had my assets seized or even been sent to prison. A blog: @openjusticecop.bsky.social openjusticecourtofprotection.org/2024/12/10/a...
