A film from which I still recall scenes, which is so not the case most of the time. ;-))

Trust you to spot it Sam :-) Yes, I am contemplating expanding Jinny towards a novel of stories. Thank you for reinforcing that the idea is the right one x 🫢 x πŸ₯° x

@septimusbrown.com #vss365 #prompt June 3rd With nothing left, but earthen air my inkwell dried with no breath to dare utter, the echoes of gull caws I step into that hymnal strait of a skylark's gaze, as I'm left sung of her shadow.

Here is raw police & rescue camera footage surveying the 2.5 km, in places over 100m high mass of mountain that tumbled bringing with it a glacier ledge... to give you a perspective of what has been wiped away.... www.blick.ch/video/aktuel...

It is quite to wrap one's mind around the extent of the damage, even though I've seen the damage of this kind of 'landslide' and avalanches before.

I'm sure it will - you might well find a tent pitched in your back yard 😎

I know. the mountain side is still rumbling and moving, the debris that flooded the town is over a 100 m high in places and with an glacial ice pack underneath the earth and rock, flooding is still a threat. The Swiss army and rescue teams are still looking for him and for any sign of livestock

No, one sheep farmer is missing assumed deceased. The assumption is he was with his 100 odd sheep in his alpine farm stall, which lay just outside of the evacuation zone.

The entire valley now is in danger of being flooded; accumulation of the water from the river being blocked and the shifting, melting glacier field that came down the mountain along with the rest of mountain face.- 300 million cubic tons. Two other villages have been given evacuation warnings.
