You think they’ll argue accessibility is DEI and woke, even though many of them are old and infirm and would be harmed by removing parking spaces and ramps. They do love going against their own interests.

No, there will be no Love Actually-style signs at press conferences. That would make them much more interesting, though, even if it was wasteful.

You left out the able-bodied. I feel like I’ve heard this before, but I can’t quite remember where…. I think they also banned books, though. 🤔

There’s a Malinois in my neighborhood who won’t go for a walk without his Kong.

That’s because I think only cyclists and their families and maybe close friends give any consideration to bikes. Most people seem to view them as a nuisance or pay them no mind at all.

I thought we were seeing that already. My favorite part was when he told the MAGAs to vote for him to lower grocery prices and then told them it was harder than it looks. Yes, especially when you want to enact tariffs and deport all the farm workers. You don’t need Miss Cleo to see that coming.

AARP isn’t an insurance company, although I do agree with you on the decision to partner with a Medicare Advantage program. They do a lot of advocacy and education work. They’re not perfect, but is there a better organization advocating for seniors?

If you haven’t checked out their website, please do. There’s information on credit cards, bank accounts, identity theft. You can also file a complaint should you need to. It’s impartial information without sales pitches.

I just can’t stand to look at his smug face. These next four years will be interminable if I have to be subjected to both him and Trump.

Oh, no! I’m so sorry for your loss.

Our second whippet used to sleep between my parents with his head on a pillow and his body under the covers like a small child, but if you turned your back on him, you’d get four feet in your back. He was the ultimate bed hog.

That’s a great idea! I hope he does, so I can see the jokes social media comes up with. Maybe turn him into a goose, a giant with a beanstalk…

I initially feared the tariffs would send us into a recession, but now I’m wondering if stagflation is more likely. Regardless, it’s not gonna be fun. Hopefully, these low information voters actually learn something this time.

Is that a whippet and a greyhound or a galgo? And what is the smaller one?

People can be quite scary, Beth. Certainly doesn’t help she’s a sighthound, who are typically aloof with strangers under the best circumstances. I’ve known some friendlier whippets, but that seems to be the exception rather than the norm. She’s a cutie, though.

I’m of the belief that it’s pee-can pie, but in just about any other context, it will be pe-cahn. I was raised in NC by Yankees, so I might be the only one who does that.

She wants turkey with gravy, of course. It is Thanksgiving, after all.

So she is an Ibizan Hound? Technically, she’d still be a podenco, un podenco Ibicenco. She’s a cutie, either way.

I can’t say whether I’d call her a TERF, but I’d definitely call her a transphobe. Although I only skimmed the second half of the article because migraines lower my tolerance for bigotry/BS.

If I say I remember when it was $1,000 an eye, is that like when Boomers talk about what gas prices used to be?

Congrats! That’s quite the accomplishment. I hope you and your fishies are very happy together. 🙂
