Between measles and my complete lack of faith in the FAA under our current administration's mode of FAFO, I will likely drive just about everywhere. It sucks, especially when otherwise I would be like "a few hours of frustration, or a day or two? Hm."

I'm actually thankful I had to get titers done for everything when I started pharmacy school because all my childhood vaccine records had been lost, I know that measles immunity is still kicking.

Right? Like, you need someone, they're there. That's a partner.
They have a small child she is caring for, she tells him she's having a medical emergency and needs him, and he delays? There's so much wrong there. Wtaf.

I have called my partner at work and asked them to come home precisely once, and they came home immediately to ensure I was taken care of. We had been together less than a year when that happened, and there was never doubt.
Not trusting her husband now is the natural response.

Yes, and I would probably see if they have to register in any way that a meaningful complaint could be lodged, because that is nonsense.

That's what social media is for!

It is important to learn from the older cats as a kitten.

My poor pharmacist brain read this as medication and I was like "I guess that would depend on the med" and uhhhh yeah meditations makes a lot more sense.
My partner and I used to set time aside every day after we got off work for meditation. We need to get back to that, it was good for us.

Ok.... So I need to look more into this buyback and see what's going on. I have been wondering if I should switch.
Thanks!

I was driving my fiance to an appointment and they were looking for music to put on for the drive
"Oh here we go - 'songs to punch Nazis to'"

I love that more than is rational.

I got rid of so much stuff in the one buy nothing group I was in once.
"Getting rid of my box of cables - take the whole thing, either add it all to your collection or see if I have that one cord you have been looking for and then re-give the rest!"

My uncle is like "yeah, sucks that you'll have to deal with all the fallout from this."
My mom adored Kamala Harris. She would have been heartbroken if she was still here.

Every time I learn one of these people is the same age/even younger than I am like.... Damn, hate sure does a number on you.

If it did, I would be in MUCH better shape.

I hope the worst is over for her. Close to two weeks she *should* hopefully be coming out the other side.
And obviously emergency eye appointment needed to happen but better to rest AND not expose others (or yourself to any of the OTHER things going around, ugh).

That regular vaccine really helps - the sickest I have been in my adult life was h1n1 flu in 2009 before the vaccine was widely available.
I will keep my fingers crossed that you recover uneventfully and the misery is short lived. So many people are being hospitalized for it this year. It's BAD.

One of the last reasons I actually go to Facebook is a group called "This cat is Jolene" all pics of the cats stealing partners.

Oof, flu is so bad this year, I hope you recover quickly. And I am glad your opthalmologist said you should recover your sight!

Oooooh, those are so pretty!

Oh no, I hope you are ok and in less pain now :/

Do what you gotta do. Your threads are useful/informative/thoughtful and I know I would rather you stay so you can keep posting - and I can selfishly keep reading it - even if it means I don't have the opportunity to interact.

I had a 1998 Dodge Neon that handled the snow better than that. Eesh.

We're trying to move to Minnesota. We are actually looking forward to the cold weather (to an extent, at least), even if it will be an adjustment.

I find this hilarious because I use fiance specifically because of its gender-neutral nature.
That said, I like "pre-wifey."

This is one of the many reasons I haven't bothered to get evaluated for ADHD even though I have become pretty convinced in the last year that I have it.
Like, what is the diagnosis going to get me at this point besides some stigma?

Holy smokes he's the same age as me and I am bad about my skincare routine.
I am one hundred percent convinced that hate ages you. Eesh.

The one MRI I had done on my shoulder a few years back wasn't nearly as bad as I expected, but afterwards I felt *drunk*. Like could not have found my way back to the waiting room without getting lost. Apparently that happens to some people?

Wait how was breast MRI bizarre? I am working on getting one of those scheduled.

Payment/insurance issues were one of the things I hated about working retail pharmacy. I could tell patients about their meds all day, but if I couldn't get it to an affordable price it didn't matter at all.

This sort of thing makes me see red. I'm unsurprised, but so angry that you're dealing with this.

I keep talking myself out of another degree. I hadn't thought of the fact that it may be a coping mechanism.
Admittedly it's a little easier to talk myself out of it currently given *gestures vaguely* everything.

100 percent agree. And I am not even sensitive to scents. It's just courteous when you're around people with various respiratory conditions.

He's acting pretty normal tonight and his appetite is better than it was yesterday, he just decided to give us all a scare!
Our boss comments that me and the other overnight pharmacist function as a team a lot more than others she has seen. It really does help everything!

I uh... Could have continued missing it. Really.

Obviously, it was a super stressful night, but getting to work was NOT one of the stresses, and I am thankful for that.
He got all checked out and is just understandably uncomfortable from the GI issues, but otherwise fine.
