The sad truth is while risk mitigation can help, what helps more is adaptive measures to the new climate. We can’t focus entirely on preventing disasters when they are happening annually, we must also focus on playing the hand we’re dealt.

There should be a phrase to describe the resistance to updating you have from the expectation that it’s unnecessary, time consuming, and might just brick your device until a new update comes. Somewhere between digital nostalgia and trauma.

I agree with you that Chrome’s not that bad, most browsers are based on it (including edge). Microsoft just wanted to own your data soooo bad.
