The special election in New York’s 21st Congressional is coming up fast, and I am running to replace Elise Stefanik in Congress. Please help spread the word and chip in, and together we will get the job done. secure.actblue.com/donate/gende...

Something odd just happened—an article that had been widely published on media sites has suddenly disappeared without any retraction or explanation. Many may have come across it on Reddit.

The people of Florida’s 1st Congressional District deserve someone who will fight for universal, affordable, and quality healthcare for all. I’m running in the April 1st special elections to represent the people of FL-1 because I understand our community’s needs. gayforcongress.com

“The thing that I can’t get over is that the actual richest man in the world directed my fucking firing. I make $50k a year and work to keep drinking water safe. The richest man in the world decided that was an expense too great for the American taxpayer.”

One of our supporters shared this with us—people are getting creative tonight!

This also includes *veterans*, including, I am told, at least some fully qualified wildland firefighters with actual fire experience. Per a source with knowledge: “I want everyone to know that they are firing veterans, fully qualified and trying to serve their country again in civil service.”

So interesting…

Hi Bluesky! Glad to be here.

If the concern was fraud and waste, why is DOGE all computer programmers and not forensic accountants? It’s like they aren’t looking to audit anything…

BASH: I remember a time when Republicans were very careful about the government having access to personal data NOEM: Well, we can't trust the government anymore BASH: You are the government

Elon Musk’s team is set to delve into the nation’s aviation system, with his 20-year-old staffers utilizing AI to assist the FAA in a rapid overhaul of aviation technology. However, a more practical solution would be to simply hire more workers, as the FAA is severely short-staffed.

“A federal judge temporarily blocked the Trump administration's offer of buyouts to federal workers. Today was the deadline for employees to accept the controversial packages. Democratic lawmakers have warned are legally dubious w/o congressional authorization.” www.nbcnews.com/politics/don...

To America’s 2.3 million federal employees: Don’t accept a buyout. Neither Musk nor even Trump has the legal authority to make such an offer. And even if they did, would you trust them to follow through on it? Sincerely, Robert Reich Former U.S.Secretary of Labor

Dear Press, Please stop with the Gaza stuff and keep your eye on the ball. Yes, it’s stupid and outrageous, but while you are distracted, Trump is committing crimes against hard working Americans. He’s committing crimes and abusing his power. Sincerely, Maggie A Hardworking American

Murphy: "We need to act like a real opposition party in the middle of a constitutional and democracy crisis. That means we should not be moving forward nominees or legislation in the Senate. Ds should not be giving votes to nominee or legislation in the Senate until Rs get serious about this crisis"

This is a great idea. Do you know anyone in Congress you can talk to?

Federal health workers are expressing fear and alarm after a website called “DEI Watch List” published the photos, names and public information of a number of workers across health agencies, describing them as “targets.”

@altusaid.bsky.social’s humanitarian efforts promote peace, global stability, and our safety. That’s why my colleagues and I showed up at HQ to demand answers about why staff who save lives were shut out of work. This illegal shutdown threatens our global standing & makes us less safe.

Elon Musk is a terrible president.

Maybe tomorrow a <single journalist> might bother to find the Speaker or the Senate Majority Leader & ask why the hell they aren't acting to stop unelected people who aren't even federal employees from violating the laws Congress already passed, & to explain why this isn't a constitutional crisis? 🤷‍♂️

OMG it gets worse… “yesterday two top security officials from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) tried to stop people associated with Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, from accessing classified information they did not have security clearance to see.…

Sen. Tim Kaine tells federal employees to ignore Trump’s offer to quit with pay for months. “Don’t be fooled. He’s tricked hundreds of people with that offer. If you accept that offer and resign he’ll stiff you just like he stiffed the contractors. He doesn’t have any authority to do this.”

Got me tearing up first thing in the morning.

The thing that a lot of people don't realize is that "the government" is made up of millions of individuals, most of whom do the things that make your life livable on a day-to-day basis.

Trump set the TikTok ban in motion Congress passed legislation Biden signs legislation SCOTUS upholds ban Biden says his administration wouldn’t enforce the law, leaving room for TikTok to stay open TikTok shuts down anyway Trump tweets TikTok pretends Trump saved it 🙄

I'm honestly gobsmacked by the shameless entitlement of some political journalists who have the audacity to talk down to the public about supporting major outlets while billionaire owners are practically bragging out loud on how they use their vast fortunes to shape reporting at these same outlets.

Hey guys, we need to talk about the 14th Amendment. Because it’s clearly on your mind… 🧵

Great! Now I can cancel the diet. Who am I kidding...I don't diet. 😋 Bring on the chocolate!

After nearly three decades, a Minnesota summer camp for kids with HIV/AIDS is closing and up for sale... because retroviral drugs are so effective that there aren't enough campers. Science works, y'all. www.startribune.com/closure-of-n...

I got a new phone today. The font here is different. Change is hard. #firstworldproblem

imagine if our country got as upset about children getting shot as it did about CEOs getting shot

Once again asking ppl on the left to pause and think for a second if “violence is never the answer but people can only be pushed so far” is a reasoning we can maybe see used anywhere else, towards anyone else, that we might find to be really bad and, if so, do we think we should be espousing it.

Chuck Schumer should immediately announce Democrats will accede to Trump's wishes here and do away with the Electoral College once and for all. Here's that bipartisan push the pundits are looking for. Let's go!

If Trump wants an Attorney General that will never come after him, he should just keep Merrick Garland. #AG #Trump

People watching at the outdoor mall in NOVA. Observations: 1. So many different languages. I like to try to guess which language people are speaking. I've been stumped several times this afternoon. One of best things about living in this area of the US.
