Whatever it takes to not face the reality of what's going on in America. Here's to football!

In the early 60’s, there were over 200 Henry’s locations from coast to coast (more stores than McDonald's at the time!) with over 30 locations in Chicago.

Trump will only be around for (unfortunately) 4 years. Let's not rush to "no longer our friend or ally" just yet. We've been friends for many decades before this short span of time.

I see Gene has disappeared from Spotify. Glad YouTube has his stuff!

It's a bit late NOW. The damage is done and we ALL knew that when we voted. This is what the "majority" wanted. The USA we all grew up with is gone - or, will be within these 4 years.

Not so great on the American side these days

I knew about it but I don't have XM, just AMFMDX😁. I have every AT40, so I haven't had a reason to listen to it elsewhere. I try and listen to the current date as much as possible. I listened to Feb 1, 1975 today.

I've been following Groovefunkel for a few years now and he never ceases to amaze me with his authentic creations using the original master tapes. This version of 'Make It With You' is possibly even better than the original. youtu.be/AOEOrLUEPwA?...

I'd argue there are better songs by Bread than these choices.πŸ˜‰

On the far right, that sunset is smiling thanks to those birds. Just amazing.

According to my doctor, I won't be on the planet much longer to experience most of it. I'm actually kinda happy about that.

That would have started a Civil War in the USA and I don't know that anyone wanted that to happen.

That's why the NY Jets will always be like their owner - losers!

My time in radio is over for the most part. Now I just bitch about it like an old man, because I am. Those days are behind me but I sure had a damn good time. πŸ€˜πŸ“»πŸŽ™οΈ

For sure! As of Monday, I'm all about the music and getting out to enjoy paradise here in the Cascades without a care what is happening 2,656 miles from here in that other Washington.

and yes, they are non-comm but that's why I pointed them out as an example of radio done well - one shouldn't have to be non-com to do great radio! I've never worked at a non-com, but I did a lot of great radio!πŸ˜‰

I'd also say if you live in an area with larger cities, it was not uncommon to hit "scan" and hear the same syndicated show on a different station out of market. It was the beginning of the end of radio. Bob & Tom? Yeah. That crap.

I programmed a Classic Hits station with 850+ songs to #1 (12+) and #1 25-54P; I programmed Active Rock on the other FM to #1 (also 12+!) and #1 18-49M and 25-54M. There was a time when those two FM's literally swapped positions at #1 (12+) from the Fall book to Spring. Local radio vs Cumulus. 🀘

I'd argue a lot of us HAD the answers - the corporate folks thought 400 song playlists and syndicated radio was the answer. They didn't want guys like me (and viceversa). It's far too late now to save commercial radio.

Radio would be fine if it created something worth listening to. Running syndicated morning shows in 100 markets with the same music/crap nationwide. ZZZZZ. Oh, and here's "You Shook Me All Night Long" again! πŸ˜†πŸ€‘
