Oh, fabulous. I just read that in my little village at my husband's voting location, the AfD got the most votes. 51,5% of eligible voters voted. Should I be comforted that 63% of my neighbors did not vote for them? That's not really the way my brain works.

Today at the quarry which has been the Wanderfalken Brutplatz for several years. We only saw one but are hopeful both adults are healthy and will go for it again this year.

English question: Do you hear/read sentences like "The oven needs cleaned" (without "to be") often? If so, where? I've heard of this before but it's not common usage in my circles. I'm reading a book in which it has come up several times (set mainly in Scotland). Thanks!

Arrived today! Taking a short break from "The Memoirs of Cleopatra" to buddy read this one with my daughter. I need to get a head start because she reads at 10 times the speed I do. 😅
